Tip for Conservering Water in your Landscape

One of the biggest things that you can do is to eliminate areas of lawn space that aren't used and that are hard to water. The biggest one is the park strip. Many people have grass in there parkstrip that never gets used, its difficult to water beause of its small dimensions, and there usually a pain to maintain. Well with the flip the strip concept you can implament a great looking park strip that uses little to no water! Here are a few different design ideas that you can use for your parkstrip.

The first image shows a rock garden approach that uses all rock to show contrast and color while utilizing no water.



You can also choose to do a design like this that incorporates plants and trees that are low water use to retain much of that color and pop that a traditional landscape provides.
